What about splinters?

Would you get splinters if you placed your naked bottom on a beautifully polished wooden chair? After carving the design each piece goes through a long process of sanding and polishing to give a beautifully smooth finish.

Is wood safe? What about allergic reactions to exotic woods?

After extensive trials and testing of many types of finish, including various food-safe oils and waxes (the results of which were disappointing and didn't meet our high standards), we settled on five layers of our specialized sealant which gives a superior finish and a strong water proof barrier between you and the wood.
The sealant produces a hard wearing surface that is easy to keep hygienically clean, and unlike a varnish it will not chip or flake off. As long as the products are used sensibly they are very safe and pleasurable. As always, you are advised to use a condom when sharing toys with others.

How do I know which size to order?

If you are ordering a Diletto for yourself or your partner, remember everyone is unique. Choosing the size is more of a personal experience than an exact science. Bear in mind that when choosing a toy in a hard material some people prefer a slightly smaller size than they would normally. Dildos made of hard solid materials such as wood don't have the flexibility of rubber. They have a solidness and strength to them that gives you a very different experience.

How do I care for my Diletto?

After use simply clean your Diletto in warm soapy water; use a mild soap and never leave it to soak. Gently dry with a soft towel then let them fully dry naturally before placing them back into their case.

Will mine look exactly like the one in the picture?

All our dilettos are made by hand and the grain on every piece of wood is different, so no two dilettos are ever exactly the same. The proportions of the design will alter slightly depending on the size you have ordered. We see them as individual pieces of art, as unique as the person who orders them.

Do you do custom orders?

We have done our best to cover as many preferences as possible; all our styles are available in different sizes and woods. But if you don't see exactly what you want get in touch with us, we would love to discuss your design ideas with you.

Do you use endangered woods?

No, absolutely not. We support conservation trusts that buy up areas of forest then manage it and safeguard it from destruction. We also obtain wood from suppliers who responsibly farm their forests, by planting more trees than they fell, ensuring the environment's healthy future.

How do I order from this website?

Go to the Diletto Designs page and click any design you are interested in. You will be taken to a page with pricing information. Select the size and wood you want, and click the Buy One button at the bottom of the page.

How discreet are you?

Our products are supplied in their own roll of taffeta, to protect your Diletto and hide it away from prying eyes, should you choose not to display your work of art on your mantelpiece. Our products are packaged in plain white boxes, with no company name or details on the outside. We only use your information and feedback to build a customer profile to help us offer our customers an even better service. We do not pass any of your details on to other companies and will only contact you about new products if you ask us to.

How long do you take to deliver?

Other than our samples we don't stock our items; each one is made personally for you. We aim to have all orders delivered to you within 28 days of receiving your order. Once we receive your request, we pick a piece of your chosen wood that we feel has the best attributes to complement the size and style of your order. Your piece will then go through a process of carving, sanding and finishing. Your Diletto is then packaged and sent to you recorded delivery.

How do you deliver?

P&P charges — Free inside the UK, sent Special delivery (package insured & signature required at delivery address)

Europe Delivery — Tracked and insured package, signature required at delivery address — £10

USA Delivery — Tracked and insured package, signature required at delivery address — £14

These costs are for basic orders; we may have to charge an additional P&P charge for very large orders. Please email us for further details if you are planning a large order.

How can I pay you?

Payment processing for orders taken on this website is handled by Streamline International, part of the Royal Bank of Scotland Group. They handle payment via Visa, Visa Electron, MasterCard, American Express, Diners Club, and AirPlus cards.

Can I get a refund if I return goods?

For reasons of hygiene, we can only provide a refund if the return is a result of our error or if the goods supplied are shown to be faulty, and we are informed within five days of receipt of delivery.

Please ensure that you provide the correct information for your Diletto when placing your order. As Dilettos are made specifically to fulfill your personalised order we cannot provide a refund if the customer changes their mind.
